I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and is safe in their travels.

As you know elections were held at the last member meeting. Due to other commitments I was unable to run for re-election as president. Please join me in congratulating the winners.

Their terms will begin January 1st.

As a result of the election the Vice President position will be vacated effective January 1st. A special election for VP will be held at the February meeting. If you are interested in running, let jim Harrington and Jerry Flowers of the Nominating committee know.

Our next meeting will be 7:30 pm, December 16th when we will hold our club Christmas Party/White Elephant gift exchange. It will be held at our normal meeting location, Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church, 2323 Cheyenne Street, Irving TX. The Club will provide meat and Drinks. Sides and desserts will be supplied by attending members. If you want to participate in the gift exchange please bring a wrapped gift. I hope to see everyone there.

Our Annual Toy Drive will be held on Saturday December 4th. We will meet at Sam Pack Ford, 8900 President George Bush Turnpike Dallas TX. We will gather at the dealership at 9am for coffee and donuts. At 9:30 we will head to Wal-Mart at 425 Coit Road where we will be buying toys and bikes to be donated to Toys for Tots. After buying the toys we will return to Sam Pack where reserve Marines will be waiting to receive the toys. You may also bring unwrapped gifts to Sam Pack until 1pm.

There are a couple parades we traditionally participate in. Both are on December 4th. The Richardson Christmas Parade is in the morning while the Euless Parade of Lights is held in the evening. If you are interested in participating in either Parade contact Bill Waibel for more information.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming events over the next month and a half.  Be safe in your travels and don't eat too much over Thanksgiving.
